Attack of The Christmas Dork...

Christmas is by far my favorite holiday (Halloween comes in at a close second, I mean who can resist all those cute kiddos in costumes?) Naturally, I had to torture my family with countless pictures of the big day, but here is one of my favorites of my insanely precocious cat Millie, perusing the gifts on Christmas Eve.

Darling Sofia turns 1!!

I just don't get it when I hear how some photographers say they can't imagine photographing children for a living... frankly, I can't imagine my life without it! It gave me SUCH utter joy to photograph Sofia's very first birthday. She has a beautiful family and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with them and capturing such wonderful memories.¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofia!

Not Just Another Day At The Beach...

Who doesn't love weddings? A day dedicated to the spirit of unconditional love, family, friends and amazing food =). On what turned out to be a perfect day in June, two beautiful people named Kally and Joey exchanged vows on the sunny shores of Long Island, NY. Here are some of my favorite shots from their special day:

A Dream Realized

There are many precious moments in life... but its a rare opportunity indeed to photograph someone's life the moment they realize their lifelong dream has been fulfilled. It was my privilege to attend my brother's graduation and subsequent commissioning. He had overcome so many obstacles to not only graduate with honors, but to be accepted into the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. It was a day full of tears, laughter and silliness, but most of all it was a day filled with the kind of youthful exuberance that only comes around once in a lifetime.

Disney - behind the lens

Yes, I'll admit it. I'm a Disney dork (and proud of it!). My parents first took me there when I was four years old and I've been mesmerized ever since. It's true, no matter what time of year, I can't help the feeling of complete giddiness that takes hold once I see those iconic spires. Here are some pics from my recent jaunt with everyone's favorite mouse.

Epcot at night! Was taken aback by the variety of color (and how small that giant golf ball can make you feel).

This was taken at the stunt show in Hollywood Studios. Even though I was pretty far back, you could still feel the intense heat coming off the explosion. What a show!

Taken at the 50's drive-in restaurant in Hollywood Studios. I wanted the focus to be all about color and give the portrait more of a retro feeling. There was an innocence and a playfulness to the era I wanted to re-create, even if it was for a split-second.

Just one of about 500 shots I took of the castle. I call this one my "postcard" shot. See if you can guess why!

Probably my favorite pic of the whole experience - a girl playing jump rope in front of one of the world's most iconic metaphors for childhood. The picture says it all.

The Laughing Baby

I took this photo of a father and daughter at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I love the innocence and sheer joy that the picture evokes. It reminds me of what's most important and that you should never cease to live in the moments.

I heart NYC

Dear NYC,
I love your lights, sounds and never-ending chaos. Your gritty sidewalks, the warmth and colorful flair of your people, but most of all, the way you look through a lens. Keep up the good work!
Love, Tracy
